Merry Christmas

Just wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. We are getting ready to watch the Disney Parade and open presents. I sure am missing the homeade cinnamon rolls Mom. Just for tradition sake I made cinnamon rolls this morning, but Pillsbury doesn't even compare. We will try and post some pictures later.

Love you all,

Furr Family

Cheesing It Up

We were playing around with our camera's features tonight and thought we would share some of the fun times with you.

Ryan, Laura and Grace

Good Morning from Mom

Dear Ones,
Just a quick good morning before we head off to Friday activities. Erin, thanks so much for posting the picture of the girls. So cute!! They look like they are headed down the road to travel the big wide world, all by themselves -thank-you-very-much! I can just hear us telling Sara Beth, "You can't go without us." And her very confident answer, "Yes, I can!" And then I imagine Gracie chiming in "Me, too!!" Pa still gets tickled thinking about Sara Beth's response to him telling her, "Sara Beth, you don't double dip (veggies in ranch dip)." And her response, "Yes, I do!" We laughed about that at supper last night. I think both of our girls are Steel Magnolias!

Beth, thanks for making the hotel arrangements. I'll be talking to you soon about when I will leave on Wed. I thought that JW would be coming with me, but Peco just told us that we are getting chickens on the 11th, and of course Pa has to work that day. So I guess I will be coming to Talladega by myself. Sure glad I don't have to tackle Atlanta that way!

I talked with Doris yesterday and she was going to send off our order at the end of the day. She has to go to Auburn today for the weekend, but I should be able to get back with her by Monday to see when the pictures will be on line. Remember, we are not going to purchase them from the online site, but will place our order through her. Please pass that on if you give the link (when we get it) to other family or friends. She will also be making 5x7 proofs for us to choose from. I would have liked to have gone in yesterday and previewed everything, but Billy Joe came to fix my refrigerator, ran into a little trouble with some of his equipment and didn't leave until supper time. But, Doris is so good, I trust her eye and judgment. She still has all the digital pictures saved if we want to view them later. (My frig is working great now - so thankful it waited until after the holidays to act up!)

Laura, so glad Grace was able to sleep better once you got home. It was good to hear that you have your tree up and to think about all those "down-through-the-years" memory ornaments on your tree. Thinking of past Christmas memories while putting up the tree is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

Well, so much for the quick good morning! I better sign off and get busy. Love you all bunches! Take care - I care! Love, Mom

PS Joe, if you are reading this, call home! Of course, the rest of you can, too!

All,
Thought this would bring some smiles. I will burn the pics from Thanksgiving to CDs and bring with me next week.
Beth, thanks so much for making the hotel reservations. That is a huge relief. I agree it sucks the circumstances but I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Love and hugs!
Erin

The Furr Crew

AGHHH I am so excited about this blog. Now, I just have to not be a procrastinator and actually update it. We had such a great time at Thanksgiving. The food was amazing and we had so much fun laughing at catch phrase. We really hated to cut it short, but felt it best to get Grace well. She seems to be feeling much better. Yesterday was the first day with no fever. She still has a yucky cough that we need to go away, but we are on our way to getting her healthy again. We got our Christmas tree put up this weekend and it was so wonderful to be able to do it as a family. I must admit, Ryan did most of the work and he did an amazing job. It is always so much fun to bring out the ornaments and have all the memories that go along with them. I can't wait to share those with Grace as she gets older. Thank you mom for keeping all of our ornaments, even those silly red apples :) I wish it were under different circumstances, but we look forward to seeing everyone again next week!

Talladega Nights... or days....

Brad and I just returned from a mini date this morning for breakfast after dropping off Sara Beth, and are super excited about the blog... Thanks so much Erin for setting us up. We just talked to Brad's parents, and they are coming next Wednesday and staying through sometime Friday so we can be there for Grace's surgery. Mom, if you'd like to ride with us, just let us know. We'll be happy to share a hotel room, etc. with anyone. Well, better get to some real work. Love to all!!! B,B,P,G,&SB

Thanks from Mom

Erin, thanks so much for setting this up. I love your choice of a blog name and description. I hope this will help us stay connected during all those times we are not home on the farm. My first newsy blog comment is about the temporary demise of my big refrigerator. Thankfully, it is only the compressor (still under warranty) and very thankfully, it happened after everyone left and not during the holiday!

Not much other news. JW went to a livestock judging practice last night. (I can't believe he is old enough to drive by himself and at night no less!) They are beginning to gear up for their Colorado trip in January. I'm not sure which has him the most excited; the chance to travel without Mom and Dad, his first plane ride, or getting to see the Rocky mountains.

Better sign off and get the day started. Thanks again, Erin, for getting this up and running. Love you all bunches. Mom

Welcome Family

2008 may be almost over - but there is still very much going on for us all to keep in touch about! So Mom - here is our family blog.
Hopefully everyone will log in once a week or so to keep up and keep the rest of the family up on what is going on in our lives.
I am sending an email to Mom for her to forward with the particulars on signing in and posting to the blog.
If there is a request for a different background I will do my best to accommodate! Just no camouflage or Crimson Tide - yet.
It was wonderful to see everyone over Thanksgiving - and it is a blessing every time we are able to be together!
I look forward to keeping up with everyone in 2009.
Erin
